The Powers of the State vs the Powers of the Federal Government free essay sample

There is a progressing banter among centralists and decentralist about state, nearby and government law guideline. This paper will show what the contentions would be among centralists and decentralists on The Medicaid subsidizing of Planned Parenthood, Energy help for low-salary families and the condemning change for wrongdoers sentenced for rocks charges. It is imperative to remember the Tenth Amendment in accordance with the held forces of the states. Forces of the States versus the Powers of the Federal Government There is a progressing banter among centralists and decentralist about state, neighborhood and government law guideline. As per the content, centralists are individuals who favor national activity over activity at the state and neighborhood levels (Magleby amp; Light, 2009). As indicated by the content, decentralists are individuals who favor state or neighborhood activity as opposed to national activity (Magleby amp; Light, 2009). In April 2011 Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels (R) marked HEA 1210 enactment that kept Planned Parenthood from accepting Medicaid reserves. We will compose a custom article test on The Powers of the State versus the Powers of the Federal Government or on the other hand any comparable point explicitly for you Don't WasteYour Time Recruit WRITER Just 13.90/page Arranged Parenthood of Indiana gets $3 million per year in government reserves (Weiner, 2011). Arranged Parenthood is a center for ladies that have been referred to give fetus removal benefits just as other family arranging administrations. Some accept that the Governor needed this enactment marked into law to keep ladies from utilizing Medicaid assets to get a fetus removal. Arranged Parenthood has been an objective of hostile to premature birth associations that remain outside of the center with signs to stop ladies from getting a fetus removal. Government law disallows states from choosing which association gets Medicaid subsidizing in any way, shape or form other than nature of care (Weiner, 2011). Confining Medicaid financing from Planned Parenthood could be hindering to the strength of thousands of ladies that get fundamental medicinal services from the center, in light of the fact that not the entirety of the patients are there for a fetus removal. For this situation, centralists would advance the contention that State of Indiana ought not be permitted to direct whether Planned Parenthood gets Medicaid. Premature birth is lawful in Indiana and centralists would contend that the state doesn't reserve the privilege to tall a ladies how to manage her body. Confining these assets would imperil that lives of clueless Planned Parenthood patients. Decentralists would contend that the state has each option to conclude who can and can't get Medicaid and for what reason. Forces of the States versus the Powers of the Federal Government Decentralists would contend that those imminent patients could go to another facility for their social insurance needs as Planned Parenthood isn't the main human services center that acknowledges and gets Medicaid financing. In this specific case the President of Planned Parenthood indicted the case and the Federal Government decided that the state can't limit Medicaid subsidizing to the center. A large number of guilty parties indicted for rocks charges will escape jail early gratitude to a condemning change that became effective. Congress passed the Fair Sentencing Act in August 2010, changing the 100-to-1 dissimilarity between least sentences for split and powder cocaine to 18 to 1 (Cratty, 2011). Guilty parties will have around three years shaved from their condemning and will get qualified for early discharge. Centralists would advance the contention this new condemning change is reasonable on the grounds that it for the most part influences needy individuals that were indicted for rocks charges. They would likewise contend that rocks is less expensive than powder cocaine and lower pay individuals can't manage the cost of it. When lower salary wrongdoers are gotten with rocks they are indicted and given a more drawn out sentences than different guilty parties got and sentenced for having powder cocaine. Pundits of the old condemning framework state it was out of line to African-Americans, who make up most of those indicted for having and dispersing split (Cratty, 2011). Centralists would contend that the condemning change is an invited change for these guilty parties. Centralist would contend that the detainment facilities are stuffed and should be purged a piece. Decentralists would advance a contention this condemning change ought to be dismissed in light of the fact that these wrongdoers are as yet liable of these rocks and ought not be remunerated with an early discharge date. They would likewise contend that these wrongdoers that are being let out early on account of Powers of the States versus the Powers of the Federal Government this transformed law will simply get captured on another medication charge and afterward hope to get out early once more. They can likewise contend that this updates on the transformed condemning will provoke groups of sentenced wrongdoers barrage authorities in inquisitive about their relative getting out early basically on the grounds that they have a medication charge. General society may resent these detainees celebrating getting out early when they are liable of the ownership of medications. Decentralists would contend this is a kick to the face to the war on drugs. The U. S. Branch of Health and Human Services has assigned $1. 7 billion for the program so far this year, down from $4. 5 billion a year ago and $5 billion the prior year (Reuters, 2011). Low salary families depend on vitality help to warm their homes through the virus winter months. Centralists would advance a contention that the arrangement to allot less cash towards vitality help is a decent one. They would state that individuals need to discover another approach to warm their homes and not depend on the legislature to do as such. They would state that the administration can't bear the cost of this cost and that individuals should get profitable work to raise their families. Decentralists would advance a contention that this vitality help reserve ought not be diminish and ought to be expanded. They would contend that in this unsure economy that more families are battling than any time in recent memory and need a little assistance to get by. They would contend that with the activity advertise in its present express that more individuals have been jobless and can't get a new line of work to help their families. They would likewise contend that only one out of every odd family that is profiting by the vitality help is jobless. A great deal of families are battling with costs from everything from oil to food supplies going up and their salary is going down. Decentralists would contend that in the hours of this financial downturn that currently isn't an ideal opportunity to forsake its residents when they need the government’s help so gravely. They would Powers of the States versus the Powers of the Federal Government likewise remind the open that these residents that they are deserting are the residents answerable for choosing them for office.

Dinner and Dance Party

Question: Portray about the movement of undertaking chief who gives move and evening gathering administration to customers. Answer: Presentation This task is about the action of venture supervisor who gives move and evening gathering administration to customers. This sort of organization has a place with administration giving industry. There are various layers in the undertaking that identifies with configuration move and evening gathering. The organization conveyed a task chief to deal with the whole occasions. At the initial segment, the task chief discovered various extents of the forthcoming undertaking. Various parts are broke down inside and out, that requires to satisfy the customers necessities. From that point forward, the need of the task has been investigated by the chiefs conclusion. In this section the business points of view are clarified inside and out. The organization makes its benefit by offering support to the customer and against of it gains charges or compensation that has been clarified in this fragment. After that all out activities cost estimation has been given is table and that has been expounded und erneath (Kaplan, and Anderson, 2013). At last, it tends to be inferred that the distinctive conversation on different point made this task abstract. A few creators feeling are taken to make the task abstract. Venture Scope A venture chief should check some critical extents of undertaking before beginning the move and evening gathering. The venture chief needs to contact with the provider at morning of the program. The whole requests need to crosscheck with the individual providers. On the off chance that any of the things are, left then that should requested as right on time as could be expected under the circumstances. Therefore the most noteworthy extent of the venture are examined beneath: Move territory: the main goal of the undertaking is move. In this manner, the move floor or stage is expected to set up, that ought to be as indicated by customers decision. The move floor should make with wooden board. Such a significant number of different choices are there however wood will be the best and safe alternative for making the move floor or stage since wood is awkward of power. Security measures ought to be there on the move floor (Resurreccion, et. al., 2012). The wearing of lights and sounds will be there however that ought to be veiled with electric badly arranged tapes. Another explanation of veiling, the visitor or artist won't falter with the sounds and lights wearing. Lighting the lights are another significant article for the gathering. There are two period of lighting. One is move region lighting and another is supper territory lighting. The moving territory lighting will be variable in nature on the grounds that electrical vacillation and enhancement matter is significant there. Be that as it may, supper territory lighting will be basic in mix. Sounds After lighting the sound is another extent of the task that must be checked by the venture director. The gathering is relies upon sounds and music. The visitor might want to have variety in music and volume also (Dhillon, 2013). The music list course of action should be variable in nature. Food and Beverages After moving the visitor will go for supper and the region ought to plan with the customers standards. The food things ought to be full with amount and the administration individual ought to be prepared little before dinnertime. The clean factors ought to be checked before serving since this is the matter of generosity of the organization. List of attendees the customer expected to give a rundown with all out number of visitor. The supper plate and food game plan should coordinate with the given number of coming visitor. Subsequent to beginning the gathering, the visitor number ought to be affirmed by the get attendant who will remain in front the section of the task territory. Transportation This administration is required before the finish of the venture (Tan, et. al., 2012). As the gathering is going to end at late night then transportation from the task region will be a further necessity. A task administrator needed to confront this benevolent necessity ordinarily toward the finish generally night party. A little administration of transportation ought to be outside of the undertaking zone. Task Priority As task administrator ought to be centered around absolute nature of the administration, as the top need. This sort of business is has a place with administration industry so the nature of the administration ought to be best in nature. Besides, the customer rules ought to keep up fittingly. Each and singular things of administration are dissected appropriately with past experience. A venture supervisor has investigated some significant things for a move and evening gathering these are as per the following (Prahlad, et. al. 2012). The nature of the food and refreshments plates ought to be ideal however the expense ought to be planned before the business bargain. As an undertaking supervisor the benefit making degrees will be the primary goal on the grounds that a help giving association needs great measure of overall revenue toward the finish of each task. This sort of undertaking are regular in nature so every business making possibilities are to done precisely. A reasonable business arrangement ought to be there with the customer and the organization. The cost estimation with gave things ought to be there in the rundown. the customer as a rule checks the prerequisite that has been given before the undertaking day. The whole things ought to be crosschecked with the readied list. Here various things like food, light, solid and decorators are there as seller who are capable to give required things (Drury, 2013). Sellers agreement ought to be clear and exact in the wake of finishing the arrangement with the customer. The move and evening gathering projection absolutely relies upon sellers thing. A venture administrator ought to break down the cost estimation with overall revenue before making the agreement in light of the fact that solitary this thing is liable for benefit. Work Break down Structure The venture estimations are straightforwardly related with matter of breakdown. The arranged things might be separate at the hour of the gathering going on. Hence, the suspicions with past experience of a venture administrator have taken here to plan crisis measures. The fisrt object was move floor that has intended to make with wooden board. The wooden load up perhaps break at the hour of hitting the dance floor with greater number of visitor. Substitute wooden board ought to be in the store and that thing ought to be affirmed with the decorators with their works. From that point forward, the lighting is the significant thing that identifies with power. Specialized issues or electrical disturbances may happen whenever in the gathering. Electrical generator and additional lighting choices ought to be there in party place. If there should be an occurrence of any crisis, the gathering can't be halted by giving crisis electric or lighting administration. Presently the firefighting game plan ought to be there in the gathering place, since fire can happen whenever in the gathering. The cooking zone and lighting zone are exceptionally inflammable (Wodchis, et. al., 2012). This is the most significant elements of breakdown inside a gathering region. Food amount setback is another countable breakdown that has encountered by an undertaking beforehand. The planned amount of food may contrast from the real interest in the gathering time. The food making merchants ought to plan with additional amount of required crude materials and that ought to use if there should be an occurrence of any lack occurs during the gathering. The venture chief should mindful with this sort of huge breakdown. Cost estimation breakdown is normal factors that has been investigated by a task director commonly previously. This sort of breakdown will be the purpose behind low gainfulness. The customer ought to be persuaded with the variety of value as per need. The cost breakdown is only increment o f costs to offer better support in party time. Cost Estimation Points of interest Planned Cost ($) Lighting 2250 Sound 2750 Food 9500 Embellishments 1500 Absolute 16000 A customer pronounces his prerequisites and afterward needs evaluated cost. The elements of arrangement come after the given assessed cost. Presently, A task administrator has given an expected expense as per the gathering type (Martens, et. al., 2012). The customer has announced his spending plan with the measure of $15000 to $16000 most extreme. The venture chief has evaluated reasonable expense of the undertaking as indicated by customer money related limit. The variety of lighting relies upon the merchants administration the sound quality likewise depends same. The director is capable to deliver a superior help with the planned segments. The customer arrangement ought to be clear with the administration cost. If there should arise an occurrence of any progressions then elective alternatives are there is the hand of the chief. On the off chance that the customer doesn't need, burn through $2250 for lighting then the director will decrease the nature of light. On the off chance tha t the customer needs more improvement, at that point the seller will be approached to design more and that makes greater expense. Be that as it may, the general expense growing figure ought to be adjusted on the grounds that, the customer has given his financial plan already. In the event of gainfulness, the supervisors ought to keep up the caused cost volume. hence, the administrators should have elective alternatives of sellers to make a sensible measure of venture cost. The administration seller market ought to analyzed by the task supervisor to discover the modest and best quality help merchant. This thing will lead the organization towards benefit. Be that as it may, the venture chief ought not bargain with administration quality on the grounds that the generosity of the organization relies upon administration just (Silalertruksa, et. al., 2012). The organization administration sum ought to be charged at the time cost estimation since it is the most noteworthy wellspring of pay of the organization. Annotated bibliography Use Of Social Media In An Election - 1925 Words

Annotated bibliography: Use Of Social Media In An Election (Essay Sample) Content: THE USE OF SOCIAL MEDIA IN AN ELECTIONName Course code (SOCI1017A or SOCI 1017B)Tutor/ instructors name Date An annotated bibliography includes giving a rundown of references to records, books, and articles. Regularly, every text took after by a brief depiction of a couple of words. It calls for proper use of individual savvy abilities including compact examination, short work, and decently educated exploration work. It is planned center intention is to give peruse a reasonable importance, quality and also the precision of the referred sources. It calls for proper use of individual savvy abilities including brief investigation, compact work, and additionally decently educated exploration work. Social media is both a space and technology for sustaining and expanding social movements dependent networks. The background or content of the study essentially harps on the part of social networking/ organizes on protective foundations particularly on political change grounds in the 2010s. One of the records put it that the best social and political developments for instance in Egypt needed to utilize the online networking. The latter is necessary for system augmentation on estranged bunches, activists merchant relations and for assets globalization. The result is achievement in the resistance gatherings and pioneers by offering them intends to shape discord collections and in addition outline their issues. Thus bringing together images spread and of equivalent significance change of online activists into offline dissents (Lim, 2012:231). Unexpectedly, Amid the Iran's 2009 decision emergency, Twitter was greatly utilized for open discretion and other cautious data operations in setting to the global political economy, remote approach, and verifiable human science structures among others. The informal organization advancements promoters empowered collective individuals seize power from abusive administrations some toughly paying for their eager twitter rec eption with their lives (2009: 298).The central research question/ point set out to prove by the researcher is that can the social networking be adequately utilized for greatest access to occasions and administrations therefore empowering observing of a separation event, either political or not, hence being used as an imperative insightful source? The above discovers prove as the United States government office evidently recognized the maximum capacity of the online networking stages in the global occasion, the Iran governmental issues had emitted into frequent rebellion and road challenges Twitter clients assembled to remark on the officeholder President Mahmoud. The United States state division settled on an appealing choice to dispatch an authority twitter page, for the fizzled CNN, expected to air its perspectives to worldwide crowds. There is key concentrate on assessing the adequacy of Twitter as an apparatus for social preparation and open tact amid the Iran's race dissent in the US division solicitation to perceive its more profound method of reasoning connection. To attain to the over, the essayist goes for recorded routines by blending applied structures in vital studies and comparative, outside strategy and occasion studies. Distinctive on-screen characters have been analyzed including the Iranian Government and paramilitaries, Twitter clients, State Office and other non-state performers. The paper looks to answer whether the online networking (e.g. twitter) battles may result in any unintended effects of supporting protestors' roughness constraint (Burns, Eltham, 2009:298-299). To exhibit having something to the current examination, they refer to a few writing such as historical research works, electronic media, traditional media and print among others.Burns Eltham focuses on a method of employing ranging conceptual perspectives i.e. the regime change in actors beliefs, decisions and individual policy instruments and the foreign policy macro leve l as the organizing frameworks so as to integrate several units and levels. The result is ability to gather tentative conclusions and analyze data. At one point Burns, Eltham employs Charles Tillys ideas in historical sociology that focuses on the challenges of regime change/ revolution to society myths and values (2009:300). Second is the perspectivism idea by Graham Allison. It uses competing explanatory and conceptual frameworks to identify causal factors in decision-making course. Other structures employed include the appreciation of statecraft and foreign policy levers by Terry Deibel. The latter suggest that leaders have the ability to influence other foreign audiences and decision makers through levers such as economic, political, informational instruments, military among others. The last framework is the concept of soft power as stipulated by Joseph Nye. It is seen to be the power attraction that rests on the power and ease to the preference of others. Some of their finding s included:Research found out three core conditions required for a successful revolution. First is the decision to change or maintain status quo of the structure of the regime and to have military or moral force. Finally is to have a disequilibriated/ destabilized system. Violent action is seen as a purposeful tactic used by a group in political struggles against their counterparts to hinder monopolized influence, resources and access to other privileges (Burns, Eltham, 2009:301). In their conversation, Mubarak, Sadat and Nasser of Egypt, the joke epitomizes the standard prevalent social media, Facebook, in particular, role in the uprising of the Arab community. Other observers witness the latter as being a major force behind some of the popular movements against regimes in the African North and Middle East regions. Ghonim, a Google marketing manager and online activist, created a Facebook page that aided in protest organization on the Egypt uprising Revolution 2.0. The internet wa s a major primary tool to liberating a society. During the anti-Mubarak, Kefaya used strategic information and communication technology to embrace and mobilize different groups including judges, journalists and common citizens of various diverse backgrounds and ideologies. The internet and use of mobile phones only enhanced the movements capacity for activity coordination. It hence remains very clear that the Arab uprising was not solely built on social media, rather on years of civil society movements, both online and offline. The action was followed by an emergence of oppositional activists and mobilizing populists over a long time, even before the availability of twitter and facebook. According to Tillys historical sociology concept, the political group has a nature of political regime, a range of different strategic actors, as protestors, in event and interactive dynamics models and different types of violence used strategically to bring down their enemies. The above is evident as it happened to Shah in 1979, and pursues personal goals. Different actors use the same technology for different goals. Among the well known and mentioned key strategic players include the pro-democracy protestors as the challengers, the Irans Revolutionary Council as the policy, the United States Department as the outside political actors and citizens in the broader Iranian population. Also the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Security Forces and Basij paramilitaries as the violence specialists who followed their own dynamics. Lim points out that the revolution would still take place without the internet and has very less to do with twitter and facebook (2012:231-236). The internet was viewed in contrary as posing a significant threat to democracy through how corporations and government use it for user manipulation as well legitimization of their identities. Basij played a big role n containing the mass protests that had gained international media attention. To overcome the culture ga p, analysts should and must evaluate most contextualized information originating from unverified and subjective sources such as rumors. Such would have a strong emotional fit with mass prejudice and beliefs thus having the ability to shape and reshape our perceptions. Potentially, most of the media stories about Iran are partly rumor-based, of which Twitter is majorly vulnerable. The social media is seen to be the key beneficiary in the context, with regular citizens not gaining as much. Evidence of the latter is the emerging media platforms winning high praise from pundits, journalists, and financial market analysts. Concerning military and strategic studies, the revolution in military affairs appears to peak through promotion by the over-excited theorists. Twitter gained higher similar public visibility than other competing platforms, in 2009 through its ability to break stories in real-time, providing timely information, through the social network than other electronic media and traditional print by then. The above capability drew the interest of financial speculators to use Twitter for marketing intelligence thus outpacing other social networks such as Facebook, which focused on group friendship, photo-sharing and recreation (Burns, Eltham, 2009:302). After the announcement of the Irans election results, the United States and Iranian activists turned to social media platforms to protest. The action was due to the network availability to quite a significant number of users. The same allowed them to mobilize the social media platform in attempt to influence international events. Global Business Research Paper - 550 Words

Global Business Research Paper (Research Paper Sample) Content: Global businessName:Instructor:Course:Date:Global businessThe Human Development Index (HDI) measures the level of development related to the citizens of a particular country undp.org. (2015). In this view, the mean achievements of a country become measured along three dimensions including: life expectancy or health; literacy rate; and living standards. For the Republic of Armorika, a HDI of 0.8 illustrates an above-average level of human development in the country. Firms willing to establish in this country stand at a better opportunity of realizing considerable market for related products and services. When the standards of living in a country are high, it means that business operations are enhanced as the available workforce is in a position of providing the required performance (undp.org., 2015). Additionally, the level of education points to availability of skilled labor, translating to high potential of industrialization and economic growth. In terms of health, t he majority of citizens stand at a position of offering the necessary skills in business due to substantial levels of task performance capabilities. The Gini Index measures the degree of income distribution among individuals or households of a given economy (Bourne, 2010). With a Gini index of 0.5, the Republic of Armorika displays a situation where there exist a moderate gap between the poor and rich. It represents an optimum level where some households acquire more income than others. For interested firms, this means that the market potential is high in the urban areas where the population is high, as opposed to the rural areas, where income distribution is assumed to be lower. Further, such firms ought to engage in the production and/ or sale of those products that are not readily available in the area (Bourne, 2010). For instance, computer accessories and equipment, as well as aircraft become potential products.A unicameral form of government entails a situation where there is on ly one chamber in the legislature. In this view, the operation of businesses would require few procedures and guidelines in order to conduct activities along legal frameworks. Additionally, such legislature points to less complex policy frameworks as relates to setting up businesses in the country. The national legislature supports the establishment of business as such form of government usually occur for small countries whose regulatory control structures become easily enhanced (worldbank.org, 2015). Thus, the market potential for interested firms is high since the business environment stands appropriate for conduction of activities. Such firms stand at a position of obtaining lower costs in terms of legal expenditures, as well as receiving incentives from the government as a means of encouraging production and distribution of services not currently available (undp.org., 2015).At a GDP of $300 billion, the Republic of Armorika shows great potential in growth. Comparably, the countr y stands close to small emerging economies such as those of South Africa and Denmark (oecd.org., 2015). The measure of GDP shows the values of production of goods and s...

Persuasive Speech Conclusion - 1131 Words

As I sat in my seventh grade science class, I tiredly watched my classmates display their science fair projects. Presentations about which laundry detergent works best and the density of objects like eggs and oranges, nearly bored me to tears. After all of my classmates finished their presentations, my teacher Ms. Arriola told me to stay after class. Why does she want me to stay after class? Did she hate my project? Did I do something wrong? My mind raced with all the possibilities and probabilities behind her reasoning for wanting to speak to me. I gazed as all my peers left the classroom and slowly made my way up to the front of the room. â€Å"†¦, I found your experiment on the effects of permafrost on the germination rate of seeds,†¦show more content†¦The atmosphere was tense. In my head, I constantly repeated: Hello, my name is †¦ and today I will be discussing the effects of permafrost on the germination rate of seeds. I reiterated my opening remarks in my head as I shook like a coffee addict missing their morning mocha latte. I tried not to think about my nervous tendencies, and glanced around at my competition as a bead of sweat formulated on my forehead. The boy across from me had a presentation regarding the placebo effect, and the girl next to me had a rather unappealing project about the growth of plants using different fertilizers. In a perfectly clumsy manner, I knocked my board over twice as I tried to move it away from the edge. My board seemed to mimic my inner most thoughts. Why are we here? Can we go home yet? Why are there so many people here? I felt obligated to try my best, even if it meant sacrificing five hours of my day. I decided to read instead of hear about a kid’s project testing buoyancy in salt water, when I was suddenly interrupted by the first of three judges. To me, all of the judges looked exactly the same: old, unenthusiastic, and unimpressed. One by one like dominoes falling in a timely line, I would present to a judge, answer their questions, and shake their hand. Islam is the second most practiced religion in the world with 1.5 billion followers worldwide. With six million people practicing Islam in America, it is one of the fastest growing religions in this country. However, since the September 11th terrorist attacks of 2001 the Islamic religion has been under much scrutiny publically in America. Many people who practice this religion have been subjected to discrimination as well as verbal and physical attacks by fellow Americans. However a high level of scrutiny is not a foreign concept to Muslims in America as they have struggled for acceptance in this country for centuries acquiring many highs as well as lows. The 1860’s saw the first wave of Muslims entering the United States as they migrated from Syria and Lebanon. Two reasons for this migration were to escape joining the Turkish army which many Muslims did not believe connected to their national identities and also for the pursuit of wealth by chasing the American dream. Many Muslims had seen Christians come to their homelands after living in America with more money which enabled them to provide a better life for their families. A second rush of Muslim immigrants came during World War I when the land of Lebanon was destroyed causing many to flee the land for fear of their safety. America was seen as a haven where they could earn money to rebuild their homes back in their homeland, however the task was not as easy as once believed. Many Muslims workers had to overcome language barriers as well as a lack of education. Another struggle to add were the prejudices they dealt with in the new land â€Å"Americans of those decades certainly had little enthusiasm for foreigners, especially those whose customs seemed strange and whose religion was not Chris tian (Smith, 1999, p.54).† There was much discrimination towards them; neither schools nor businesses would cater to the practices of their religion such as daily prayer and the celebration of Islamic holidays. Significance Of Slavery And The Civil War Essay - 1979 Words

The investigation assesses the significance of slavery and its contributions that lead up to the American Civil War of 1861. In order to evaluate the significance of slavery, the investigation will evaluate the social and economic role of slavery in the South and the North; the religious aspects of slavery will be investigated along with the portion of the civilian population that depended on slaves for an income. The years 1850 to 1865 will be the focus of this investigation, to allow for an analysis of the tensions leading up to the war as well the war period itself. Furthermore, the perspectives of civilians (the enslaved, freed, and whites) during the Civil War will also be assessed. Memoirs, letters, diary entries, and oral history are mostly used to evaluate the significance of slavery. Two of the sources used in the essay, What This Cruel War Was Over: Soldiers, Slavery, and the Civil War compiled by Chandra Manning and scholarly article Slavery and the Civil War: Not What You Think by Jeff Schweitzer are then evaluated for their origins, purposes, values and limitations. A.B.A. Basketball Camp free essay sample

We are (clap clap), A.B.A. (clap clap) We are (clap clap), A.B.A. (clap clap). We are (clap clap), ABA DREAMS DO COME TRUE! I had the privilege this summer of being invited to attend A.B.A. Basketball Camp in Massachusetts. For six days, this cheer was what you would call our fight song. When the camp had a dullness to it or if things werent going well, we automatically huddled together (all 164 of us), and shouted out the cheer. Immediately, the camp would be in a frenzy, and the dullness heard not five minutes before would be overcome by the dribbling of a ball and the exuberant voices of the players. Why, do you ask, would one little chant excite every single player in the gym? Its last line says it all Dreams do come true! Since it was my inaugural year, I had no idea what to expect. We will write a custom essay sample on A.B.A. Basketball Camp or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page I unknowingly put it into the same category as any other basketball camp I had attended. This meant waking up early to go to stations that nobody cared about and participating in games in which players simply walked through the motions. But this camp was unique, and the players were special. You see, everyone who went to this camp, including me, went because they had dreams. Dreams of playing Division I basketball or dreams of receiving an academic scholarship to a school of their choice. Everyone was willing to sacrifice something important to make these dreams a reality. In my case, my dream is to receive a full scholarship to play basketball at a college of my choice. In order to succeed, I have to make a sacrifice. My sacrifice for the week was getting up at five to work out in the gym for two long, hard hours. If this sounds drastic to you, then how come there were twelve of us in the gym every morning? Because we all have dreams and we want them to come true. The coaches and teachers at A.B.A. helped me realize how I was going to achieve my dreams. They warned me about the temptations drugs and alcohol. They told me about crucial decisions I would make that would have a resounding effect on accomplishing my dream. What I admired most about them was that they never said that I wouldnt accomplish my dreams. Many times, people give reasons for failure: either you are too slow, too little, or too fat something to prevent you from succeeding. You must prove to these people that you can achieve whatever you want as long as you work hard and dont forget your dreams. They encouraged me to work relentlessly at my dreams and to believe that theyll come true. As I look back at A.B.A., I see how much it influenced my life. Since returning, I have continued to spend my days working as hard as I possibly could to achieve my dreams. All the hard work and dedication is starting to pay off. I have received letters from two Division I basketball programs. Almost all my decisions now are made while reflecting on my dreams. Im willing to go out and do whatever it takes to accomplish these dreams. I leave you now with something that one of my teammates, whom I the respect and view as a great friend, said to me: There are three types of dreamers in this world: those who talk about their dreams, those who wonder how nice it would be to accomplish those dreams, and those who go out and work to achieve those dreams. I know what kind of dreamer I am. What type are you? Dreams do come true.

The Content and Influencer Marketing Overlap How to Use Both Together and to Your Advantage

The Content and Influencer Marketing Overlap: How to Use Both Together and to Your Advantage Having an influencer marketing strategy and a content marketing plan are not opposites, yet the two options are often pitted against one another. This conflict truly boils down to resource allocation. Most businesses have a finite amount of money to spend on marketing campaigns. For every dollar you spend on content marketing, you have to take one away from influencer marketing and vice versa. CortezTextbroker Marketing and CommunicationsWhile there are many different marketing strategies that can be effective, two of the most compelling are content marketing and influencer marketing. Ideally, both strategies can work together, complement one another and contribute to a comprehensive marketing approach. Unfortunately, the two strategies are often considered opposing tactics. The best results appear when marketers are able to utilize elements of both strategies and combine the best of content marketing and influencer marketing in their campaigns. The Benefits of Combining Content Mar keting and Influencer Strategies Whether you run your own business, youre a marketing professional or youre a social media manager, youll be familiar with a wide range of marketing strategies. Its no secret that content marketing is king, and using content is one of the most effective ways to increase an audience organically. At the same time, influencer marketing is rapidly picking up steam as a means of connecting with an audience via an influencer that audience already knows and trusts.Choosing one strategy doesnt mean that you have to abandon the other. In fact, youll likely receive the best results by combining the two. Content marketing and influencer marketing can achieve many of the same goals, and they even overlap in several key ways. What Are the Benefits of Content Marketing? Content marketing is a type of inbound marketing. Essentially, it moves away from the traditional forms of in-your-face advertising and seeks to inform and add value to the lives of users naturally. By creating and distributing more content, youll be able to appear as a leader within your industry. You can also be more active on social media because you always have something to share and something to contribute to the conversation.Content marketing is beneficial because it increases your web traffic as well. While you might have some direct traffic online, content marketing can bring in a new audience of users who are searching for related information. After typing what trees to plant in South Carolina?, a user might find your content and click on it. If you have a greenhouse and nursery in Columbia, South Carolina, then youve just established a great connection with a potential client. With this approach, interested users find you, rather than the other way around. What Are the Benefits of Influencer Marketing? Another common marketing strategy is known as influencer marketing. This approach uses influencers, or leaders within certain niche areas, to promote a brand, product or idea. On a macro scale, celebrities like Kylie Jenner and makeup artist Huda Kattan make hundreds of thousands of dollars in a single Instagram post. However, not all influencers are paid so much, and many have significantly smaller audiences. The benefits of influencer marketing include having a non-business voice to speak about your brand. If there is an influencer in your city who is active on social media, they could promote your brand to a local audience. Often, influencers have a much larger audience on social media than your business brand, so you can increase brand awareness with a single post. If you choose an influencer who is trusted by your desired audience, it can also encourage more sales, conversions or follows for you in the future. The Conflict Between Content Marketing and Influencer Strategies Having an influencer marketing strategy and a content marketing plan are not opposites, yet the two options are often pitted against one another. This conflict truly boils down to resource allocation. Most businesses have a finite amount of money to spend on marketing campaigns. For every dollar you spend on content marketing, you have to take one away from influencer marketing and vice versa. It is important to note that you dont have to allocate your budget to one approach or the other. You can divide your resources as they are needed in order to create a strategy that includes both influencer marketing and content marketing. The two strategies are not conflicting, and there is no reason why any business should be forced to choose between the two. Is One Approach Truly Better Than the Other? In a word, no. It would be a mistake to say categorically that one strategy is always better than the other. However, in some cases one strategy could definitely be preferable. For example, a B2B corporation will probably benefit from content marketing more than influencer marketing. On the other hand, a youthful clothing brand might see greater results from in fluencer marketing. In the vast majority of cases, however, a combination of strategies will work best. An influencer can amplify your content, but your content showcases that youre a reputable, proven brand. When both strategies are employed, your business will have a stronger strategy. Exploring the Overlap Between Content Marketing and Influencer Marketing So far, content marketing and influencer marketing have been classified as two different strategies. In reality, there is a lot more overlap than most businesses expect. To start, both strategies will rely on content. Even with an influencer marketing strategy, your chosen influencer wont necessarily have total control over the message. You can contribute ideas or include keywords and phrases that represent the voice and feel of your brand. An influencer might recommend existing content or be inspired by it when sharing your message. Both strategies can also give you a boost on social media platforms. Sharing your existing conten t boosts views and clicks, but so can links from influencers. Similarly, both strategies require you to refine your brand image. If you are a tractor manufacturer, you need to create content that meets that image and find influencers that are seen by your desired audience. This is largely introspective, but it can be incredibly helpful as brands develop their voice through increased marketing. Developing Your Own Influencer and Content Marketing Strategy Once youve decided to embrace both an influencer and a content marketing strategy, it is time to get started and explore the details. Typically, it is recommended that businesses create stand-alone strategies and then combine them cohesively into one overarching marketing approach. Creating a Content Marketing Strategy The first step in the process of creating a strategy for content marketing is defining your goals. Once you have defined your goals, you can begin to put together a calendar featuring the types of content that will ma ke the biggest impact with your audience.Often, business owners say they dont know what kind of content their audiences want to see. If thats the case for you, then take a look at your inbox. What are potential customers asking questions about? What are their biggest pain points? What is the most common reason for a customer to be unhappy with your product or service? All of these common questions can spark content ideas. At the same time, look at the content of your closest competitors. You may be able to identify what is working for them as well as what mistakes you might want to avoid for your own content marketing plan. Finally, you can decide who will create your content, how frequently you will create content and how you will distribute content. You may opt to write three blog posts a week, and you could then share those blog posts on Facebook as well as through an email marketing campaign. Creating an Influencer Marketing Strategy Next, youll want to create an influencer strat egy. Although it might feel intuitive to start by looking for influencers, a better plan is to outline your goals. Some possible goals for your influencer strategy might include the following:†¢ Increased followers on Facebook or Instagram †¢ Greater brand recognition †¢ Link building back to your primary website †¢ Increased traffic to a specific page or blog post †¢ Potential leads and increased salesOnce you have defined your goals, you can start to explore the various influencers that could be a good fit for your strategy. Your budget will play a big role in this decision. Some influencers are paid large sums of cash in exchange for a sponsored post, a shout out or an endorsement. However, you can also pay smaller influencers with free products. You can also offer affiliate codes so that when every one of their audience members makes a purchase, the influencer earns a small profit. This creates an incentive for them to promote your brand further. You wil l also need to determine whether your influencer will have creative control over the message or whether you need the final say. Developing a Combined and Cohesive Marketing Strategy The key word to remember when combining your influencer and content marketing strategies is amplification. The ideal influencer strategy will amplify your content strategy, and your content strategy will amplify your influencer strategy. To capitalize on brand recognition and increased traffic thanks to an influencer, for example, make sure youre staying active on social media. Youll probably see increased engagement during an influencer campaign. At the same time, make sure your website is functioning well and that you have your content plan up and running. Ensure that new visitors and subscribers have easy access to updated, relevant and timely content. You can also have your content refer back to an influencer. Dont be afraid to mention your influencer in your content or share their videos, posts and ph otos. This is yet another way to capitalize on the relationship you have with the influencer, and it lends credibility to your brand for new users who are very familiar with the influencer but not your company. There is significant overlap between an influencer marketing strategy and a strategy for content marketing. Businesses need not choose one over the other. In fact, the best and most comprehensive approach usually involves elements of both strategies. Content can amplify influencer campaigns, and a relationship with an influencer can boost your content. The two approaches dont conflict with one another, and they can enhance your marketing strategy in a number of beneficial ways.

How to Write a Sample Review Essay About an App

How to Write a Sample Review Essay About an AppIt is a simple principle when writing a sample review essay about an app or game: do not give the other person a chance to whine. You should think about how much time they have to spare for reviewing a game before actually picking up your review. Also you need to find a way to make them sound intelligent enough so that the reviewer will at least want to finish the game before getting bored. My advice is to look for free-game reviews that have a forum attached to it, and that it is easy to find the games mentioned in the forum. This way, you can read some of the players' thoughts about the game without having to get a ton of homework on the technical issues involved. You should read the reviews that are written by people who have actually played the game. When reading a review, just think about how well-written it is, how much detail there is, and what the reviewer thinks of the game overall. If there are any suggestions on how to improve t he game, list them as well. Try to get as much input from the player as possible when it comes to actually playing the game, rather than just hearing about it.It is also important to know which free-game review sites the developers have placed their official links at. Most developers will let you read a bit about the game and ask you to participate in a forum on the site. While reading the game's forum, you can ask the forum guests for any tips or tricks you can use to improve the game, and this will help the game players out even more.Make sure you post in a place where the game can actually be found. If you have a link, post it. After all, most games do not show up in search engines. However, some do show up on Bing and Yahoo!so post a link to the game's Bing page or Yahoo! page instead. What can you offer the player about the game that they can use to their advantage? You should mention things like cheats and tricks, how to defeat opponents in a multiplayer game, or which trophies are really hard to obtain. Again, this is going to help the game player out.A sample review essay about an app can take anywhere from a couple of minutes to a few hours depending on how involved you want to get with the game. You can use these tips to help you with your review and you should be able to get a good idea of what to include and what not to include.
